The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in finding a missing Indianapolis woman who has been missing since November 8. Nakyla Williams, 24, was last seen getting into a white or light gray pickup truck in the 4800 block of North Kenmore Road near North Arlington Avenue and East 46th Street. The circumstances of her disappearance have caused her family great distress, as they claim is it grossly out of character for her. Despite having reported her missing to the authorities, the family has still not recieved any answers in her disappearance.

Last Wednesday, at a time when other families were gathering for a time of togetherness and gratitude, her entire family searched the neighborhood and surrounding areas looking for clues to her disappearance. Her mother, Nakia Spurlock-Pope, is desperate to find answers. “We are just trying to start from ground zero basically to find my daughter to bring her home, “ Spurlock-Pope told WRTV6. “God bless my daughter wherever she is, and I am coming, and I am looking for you, and I am going to find you, Nakyla.

Despite the troubling circumstances surrounding the disappearance of Nakyla Williams, that has not lessened her family’s resolve to get answers. The family is beating the streets handing out fliers across the neighborhood in the hopes that citizens will recognize Nakyla’s face and come forward with any information they may have about her disappearance. “If you see my daughter, if you know anything, and just don’t want to say anything because you don’t want to be involved, just please have a heart. You don’t have to be involved, but she don’t’ deserve this. I know my daughter needs us to find her.”

Individuals with information on 24-year-old Nakyla William’s disappearance can remain anonymous by contacting Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
