BELLAMY MALAKI GAMBOA LISTED AS “CRITICALLY MISSING ADULT”

Police in Virginia Beach, Virginia have spent the last week searching for a mother of four. Bellamy Malaki Gamboa, 39, was last seen at her apartment in Virginia Beach on the night of July 1st. She was listed as a “critically missing adult” by police after they suspected she may have been abducted. Her 2005 gold Ford Focus was recovered about four miles from her apartment, parked next to a dumpster in a small parking lot on Pickering Street in Lake Edward.

Her family is perplexed and extremely concerned about her disappearance, with several witnesses claiming it was “uncharacteristic” for Gamboa to disappear without making arrangements for the care of her four children, as well as not showing up to work. “She needs to be home with her babies, you know,” said Tiffany Hazley, a friend. “This is just not really making a lot of sense right now…It’s not anything that she would do to jeopardize the situation where she would not be here to watch her older children grow up or her younger kids grow up,” she said. Several search efforts for Gamboa have already been conducted, covering wooded areas and neighborhoods, with friends and loved ones handing out flyers to passersby.

As was the case with Gamboa, family members or close friends usually report a loved one when they have not heard from them in an uncharacteristically long time, and when the loved one is more than 18 years of age, police are often left with little recourse in terms of tracking the individual. However, when law enforcement believes the adult’s life to be in danger, they are listed as “critically missing.” Since police believe Gamboa was abducted, she more than fit the definition of “critically missing.”

Police describe Bellamy as an Asian woman who is 5’1″ and weighs approximately 135 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair. She has a tattoo of a band of roses on her right arm and “Bellamy” tattooed on her right ankle.

Anyone with information regarding Bellamy’s location or information regarding her car should call Virginia Beach Police at 1-757-385-8175, or Crime Solvers at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
